The priest Henri Nouwen learned humility on a mission trip to South America. He went expecting to pass on his wisdom to the poor and unenlightened. During his six-month stay, Nouwen concluded that a desire to save, whether from sin or poverty or exploitation, is one of the most damaging motives in ministry.

It makes all the difference in the world whether I view my neighbor as a potential convert or as someone whom God already loves.

Never allow the thought - "I am of no use where I am"; because you certainly can be of no use where you are not. Wherever God has dumped you down in circumstances pray, ejaculate to Him all the time. "Whatsoever ye ask in My name, that will I do." We won't pray unless we get thrills, that is the intensest form of spiritual selfishness. We have to labour along the line of God's direction, and He says pray. "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest."

Beware of allowing self-consciousness to continue because by slow degrees it will awaken self-pity, and self-pity is Satanic. Well, I am not understood; this is a thing they ought to apologize for; that is a point I really must cleared up. Leave others alone and ask the Lord to give you Christ-consciousness, and He will poise you until the completeness is absolute.

Thank you for those who stood up during the 2 services yesterday.

During the first service response time, I was on the notes:

"Where can we buy bread so that we can feed then here?"
What a privilege that Jesus included Philip and the other disciples.
What a privilege that He includes you and me in His work.
What opportunities to display Christ's power do you overlook because you see only your own lack of resources?

I was trembling, this was exactly what was going through my mind.

Thanksgiving 2013

End of year 2012, You promised me that " I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb.", and You did. Thank you for standing there before me all this time, all of year 2013.

For the work of framework library. It is a good experience learning from Gandalf the art of software architecture, the rest fades in comparison. Now I realize what is real software architecture design.

For the m trip, to able to see how the works progress since our last visit and meet new friends. Thanks for the sharing too.

For the book - fully alive by Larry Crabb.

For the silent retreat. Your wills are higher than mine. An image of when God ran.

Thanks for M prayer at the closing session, it summed up all though I cannot remember in details now.

For the study of EHS. I thought I had resolved all the issues brought out by HnD, but you showed me otherwise.

For the study of Bsf Genesis, especially the life of Joseph. He honored those in authority above him, and took compassionate care of those over he had authority.
