Supernatural Passion
If we choose to face the difficult realities the Holy Spirit enables us to face, he then grants a fuller vision of God that permits the process to continue. If we turn from those realities, refusing to believe that God can keep us intact no matter what pain we feel, the Spirit is quenched. He reveals no more of God to us.
Part of our job then, if we are to find God, is to look honestly at those disturbing realities about ourselves and life - realities that could destory all our joy unless God gives us hope.
The Spirit will focus our blurred vision of God as we pursue an awareness of ourselves that immobilizes us into a state of spiritual alertness, in which we are eager to hear the voice of God.

coincidence?
. . . that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body —2 Corinthians 4:10
It is one thing to choose the disagreeable, and another thing to go into the disagreeable by God's engineering. If God puts you there, He is amply sufficient.
Keep your soul fit to manifest the life of the Son of God. Never live on memories; let the word of God be always living and active in you.

The Habit Of Rising To The Occasion
“That ye may know what is the hope of His calling …”Ephesians 1:18
God is the Master Engineer, He allows the difficulties to come in order to see if you can vault over them properly - "By my God have I leaped over a wall." God will never shield you from any of the requirements of a son or daughter of His. Peter says - "Think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you." Rise to the occasion; do the thing. It does not matter how it hurts as long as it gives God the chance to manifest Him self in your mortal flesh.
May God not find the whine in us any more, but may He find us full of spiritual pluck and athleticism, ready to face anything He brings. We have to exercise ourselves in order that the Son of God may be manifested in our mortal flesh. God never has museums. The only aim of the life is that the Son of God may be manifested, and all dictation to God vanishes. Our Lord never dictated to His Father, and we are not here to dictate to God; we are here to submit to His will so that He may work through us what He wants. When we realize this, He will make us broken bread and poured out wine to feed and nourish others.
when i was about to give up...
Long ago I learned from Treesa not to let circumstamces control me, but to control them. I learned that I could look adversity in the face and say - "Don't Do Dat!"
Prayer
God grant that I will be strong and not give in to circumstances. Grant me wisdom to resist the devil.
To meditate on
Stand your ground.... Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort (1 Corinthians 15:58 The Message)
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
To ask myself
Under adverse circumstances do I give up? Or do I, like Treesa, look things squarely in the eye and with God's enabling take charge or the situation? Do I obey God's command to resist the enemy and experience him fleeing from me?

when I am weak, then I am strong
The secret of knowing God's complete sufficiency is in coming to the end of everything in ourselves and our circumstances. Once we reach this point, we will stop seeking sympathy for our difficult situation or ill treatment, because we will recognize these things as the neccessary conditions for blessings. We will then turn from our circumstances to God, realizing they are the evidence of Him working in our lives. A. B. Simpson

Oceans will part
There Your love will unfold;
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.
When I'm blind to my way,
There Your Spirit will pray;
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand,
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.
Oceans will part; nations come
At the whisper of Your call.
Hope will rise; glory shown.
In my life, Your will be done.
Present suffering may pass,
Lord, Your mercy will last;
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.
And my heart will find praise,
I'll delight in Your way,
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand,
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand

Who Am I
Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You're
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me
I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

really random
Was reminded this morning the purpose of men is to worship and enjoying Him... and during my way back reflecting this statement, relating to my current situation; worship as a lifestyle - home, work, etc. So this is the place You wants me to be. Suddenly a sense of peace and assurance come to me that have not felt for a long time. Was struggling with faith, trust...
Yes, You told me about it on 11 Jan, I cloud not accept it at that time. Then on 21 Feb You reminded me about it; and I have accepted it. But I didn't take it seriously; joked about it with colleagues...
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I dreamed that God would be forgiving
Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted
But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hope apart
And they turn your dream to shame
And still I dream he'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather
I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream I dreamed.

Be still
"Wait for it patiently" Rom. 8:25
Patience eliminates worry.
The Lord said He would come, and His promise is equal to His presence.
Patience eliminates weeping.
Why feel sad and discouraged? He knows your needs better than you do, and His purpose in waiting is to receive more glory through it.
Patience eliminates self-works.
"The work of God is this: to believe" John 6:29, and once you believe, you may know all is well.
Patience eliminates want.
Perhaps your desire to receive what you want is stronger than your desire for the will of God to be fulfilled.
Patience eliminates all weakness.
Instead of thinking of waiting as being wasted time, realize that God is preparing His resources and strengthening you as well.
Patience eliminates all wobbling.
"He touched me and raised me to my feet" Dan. 8:18. God's foundations are steady, and when we have His patience within, we are steady while we wait.
Patience yields worship.
Sometimes the best part of praiseful waiting is experiencing "great endurance and patience ... joyfully" Col. 1:11.
While you wait, "let patience have her perfect work" James 1:4, and you will be greatly enriched. C.H.P.

How do you know it is really God speaking?
And what of your own imagination? Is God telling you to do something, or do you want it so badly that you think it's God but it's really you? In order to hear God, ask Him to help you take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Cor 10:5). He can cause your tumult of ideas - including those of other people, past and present - to gradually fade and be silent, and His own voice to be heard clearly in your mind. If you are committed to obeying Him, He will make it clear what you are to do.

How Can I Keep From Singing
There is an endless song,
echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring
And though the storms may come,
I am holding on,
and to the rock I cling.
Chorus:
How can I keep from singing Your praise?
How can I ever say enough?
how amazing is Your love?
How can I keep from shouting Your name?
I know I am loved by the King
and it makes my heart want to sing
Verse 2:
I will lift my eyes
in the darkest night
for I know my Savior lives
and I will walk with You
knowing You see me through
and sing the songs You give
Bridge:
I can sing in the troubled times,
sing when I win.
I can sing when I lose my step,
and I fall down again.
I can sing ’cause You pick me up,
sing ’cause You’re there
I can sing ’cause You hear me Lord,
when I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
sing for I know
that I’ll sing with the angels,
and the saints around the throne.

for the glory of Your Name
Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure. Matthew 11:26
Chance has not brought this ill to me;
It's God's own hand, so let it be,
For He sees what I cannot see.
There is a purpose for each pain,
And He one day will make it pain
That earthly loss is heavenly gain.
Like as as piece of tapestry
Viewed from the back appears to be
Only threads tangled hopelessly;
But in the front a picture fair
Rewards the worker for his care,
Proving his skill and patience rare.
You are the Workman, I the frame.
Lord, for the glory of Your Name,
Perfect Your image on the same.

This faith is not Paul's faith in Jesus Christ, but the faith that the Son of God has imparted to him - "the faith of the Son of God." It is no longer faith in faith, but faith which has overleapt all conscious bounds, the identical faith of the Son of God.

Day 4
We love because He first loved us.1 John 4: 19, NIV
God’s Love
There was a time when I knew in my head that God loved me, but I really didn’t know it in my heart. It was just words to me. That was the reason why I first went to an Ellel Ministries weekend course (Love’s Healing Power) and soon afterwards to a longer 9-week training school.
It was on the 9-week school that the change happened and I began to feel in my heart that I was truly loved by God. There had been a block in the way and once that was removed, the difference was awesome. God’s love is warm, radiant and sustaining. However, it takes time for a major change like that to reach every part, and the awareness of being loved by God is still growing and enlarging, reaching new parts of me as I let Him have access to them.
One important aspect has been learning to receive God’s love and not to brush it off or dismiss it. I think we tend to do that because we’re afraid. We fear that we might believe we are loved when we aren’t and so we’ll be disappointed (again!).
I would hear words in my mind, which seemed as if they were from God. Loving, kind, approving words like “well done, I’m pleased with you.” I would be afraid to accept that it could possibly be God speaking. What if I was wrong? Could that be blasphemous in some way, to believe God was more pleased with me than he really was? Yet I came to see that He loves me (and you as well) far more than we can possibly imagine. It’s impossible for us to assume He loves us more than He really does!
Do you ever find yourself in church, and you just can’t join the worship in your heart? Perhaps the words of the song say how happy you are feeling (but you’re not) or how glowing your love for God is (when you know it isn’t today). I used to have times like that, until I allowed God to highlight a few of the words of the song and sing them to me!
It might be just one line or a whole section of a song. Perhaps words like “I love you so much” or “you are beautiful beyond description.” Can you imagine God singing that to you? He would like to. If you don’t really feel loved by God, why not allow him to sing to you sometimes?
We love because he first loved us.
Prayer: Father, thank You for your immense, unchanging love for me. Help me to trust You, that You really do love me personally, and that You love not just the nice parts of me, but the whole of me just as I am now. That’s so amazing. Please help me to accept that love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 3
Day 3
The Relinquished Life
“I am crucified with Christ.”Galatians 2:20
No one is ever united with Jesus Christ until he is willing to relinquish not sin only, but his whole way of looking at things. To be born from above of the Spirit of God means that we must let go before we lay hold, and in the first stages it is the relinquishing of all pretence. What Our Lord wants us to present to Him is not goodness, nor honesty, nor endeavour, but real solid sin; that is all He can take from us. And what does He give in exchange for our sin? Real solid righteousness. But we must relinquish all pretence of being any thing, all claim of being worthy of God's consideration.
Then the Spirit of God will show us what further there is to relinquish. There will have to be the relinquishing of my claim to my right to myself in every phase. Am I willing to relinquish my hold on all I possess, my hold on my affections, and on everything, and to be identified with the death of Jesus Christ?
There is always a sharp painful disillusionment to go through before we do relinquish. When a man really sees himself as the Lord sees him, it is not the abominable sins of the flesh that shock him, but the awful nature of the pride of his own heart against Jesus Christ. When he sees himself in the light of the Lord, the shame and the horror and the desperate conviction come home.
If you are up against the question of relinquishing, go through the crisis, relinquish all, and God will make you fit for all that He requires of you.

Day 2
Day 2
Undaunted Radiance
“Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.”Romans 8:37
Paul is speaking of the things that might seem likely to separate or wedge in between the saint and the love of God; but the remarkable thing is that nothing can wedge in between the love of God and the saint. These things can and do come in between the devotional exercises of the soul and God and separate individual life from God; but none of them is able to wedge in between the love of God and the soul of the saint. The bedrock of our Christian faith is the unmerited, fathomless marvel of the love of God exhibited on the Cross of Calvary, a love we never can and never shall merit. Paul says this is the reason we are more than conquerors in all these things, super-victors, with a joy we would not have but for the very things which look as if they are going to overwhelm us.
The surf that distresses the ordinary swimmer produces in the surf-rider the super-joy of going clean through it. Apply that to our own circumstances, these very things - tribulation, distress, persecution, produce in us the super-joy; they are not things to fight. We are more than conquerors through Him in all these things, not in spite of them, but in the midst of them. The saint never knows the joy of the Lord in spite of tribulation, but because of it - "I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation," says Paul.
Undaunted radiance is not built on anything passing, but on the love of God that nothing can alter. The experiences of life, terrible or monotonous, are impotent to touch the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Amid A Crowd Of Paltry Things
“… in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses.”2 Corinthians 6:4
It takes Almighty grace to take the next step when there is no vision and no spectator - the next step in devotion, the next step in your study, in your reading, in your kitchen; the next step in your duty, when there is no vision from God, no enthusiasm and no spectator. It takes far more of the grace of God, far more conscious drawing upon God to take that step, than it does to preach the Gospel.
Every Christian has to partake of what was the essence of the Incarnation, he must bring the thing down into flesh and blood actualities and work it out through the finger tips. We flag when there is no vision, no uplift, but just the common round, the trivial task. The thing that tells in the long run for God and for men is the steady persevering work in the unseen, and the only way to keep the life uncrushed is to live looking to God. Ask God to keep the eyes of your spirit open to the Risen Christ, and it will be impossible for drudgery to damp you. Continually get away from pettiness and paltriness of mind and thought out into the thirteenth chapter of St. John's Gospel.

It is about a story of a man who daughter died under a tragic circumstance and how his world is changed forever during his greatest moment of sadness when God invited him back to the Shack.
The Shack "is a metaphor for the places you get hurt, you get stuck"
It is a cross between fiction & theology
I was stuck for sometimes, when the portray of God the Father is not what I have expected. Then I realized I had a mental image of God.
Which I shouldn’t as the 2nd Commandment: You shall not make for yourself an idol
Exodus 20:4
"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.”
You will enjoy the book even as a novel, but it will make you think about the nature and character of God even more.

Didn't give much tought about it, until recently read from an article by oswald chambers
I quote"We show how little we love God by preferring to listen to His servants only. We like to listen to personal testimonies, but we do not desire tht God Himself should speak to us. Why are we so terrified lest God should speak to us?because we know tht if God does speak, either the thing must be done or we must tell God we will not obey Him. If it is only the servant's voice we hear, we feel it is not imperative, we can say, "well, tht is simply your own idea, though I dont deny it is probably God's truth"

What are you called?
‘The Lord is with you, mighty warrior’Judges 6:12, NIV
When the Lord appeared to him, Gideon was busy threshing wheat, in fear of his enemies – an ordinary man, doing an ordinary job, with normal human emotions. When the Lord addressed him as ‘mighty warrior’, his reaction was to say, ‘Who, me? But I’m the least in my family and our clan is the weakest’. In other words, ‘You’ve got to be joking; you’ve got the wrong guy!’ But God knew exactly why He was addressing Gideon in that way.
The word for ‘call’ in the Bible is used partly to imply calling by name, as in Isaiah 61:3b: ‘They will be called oaks of righteousness,’ or Genesis 17:5 when God tells Abram that he would no longer be called Abram but Abraham, as he would be the father of many nations. Names signify something of the essence of who the person is and what they will be. But the word for call is also used to mean calling to a task. So when God calls Gideon ‘mighty warrior’, that is how He sees him and it also signifies what He is calling him to do.
What is God calling you? - My Son, My Daughter, My Beloved, My Precious One, Mighty Warrior, Leader, Teacher, Shepherd? Many of us feel so insignificant and unworthy that we are unable to believe that God would be calling us in that way, and our response is, ‘Who me? You’ve got to be joking!’ Let’s ask God today how He sees us and what He calls us, and let’s believe that that is what we are and what we are called to be.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please forgive me for not always believing how You see me. Please show me today what You are calling me, and help me to believe that that is who I am and what I am called to be. Amen.

He Never Saw an Angel!
This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Joseph, her fiancé, was a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly. As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit’.
Matthew 1: 18-20 & 24, NLT
Christmas with all the joy and wonder has passed for another year. The story is pregnant with promise, possibilities and angels. Twenty- five verses tell us of Zacharias’ encounter with Gabriel giving him details not only of the birth of his son John but specific instructions on how to parent the boy. Thirteen verses describe Mary’s angelic encounter. Another thirteen detail the story of shepherds, angels and glorious events in the night sky. Twelve verses document a new star and the wise men who followed that star.
Here in the northern hemisphere we are in the season of deep winter; cold, grey days sprinkled occasionally with bright blue skies and trees that sparkle with frost. The frost gives an illusion of warmth.
Joseph, a pivotal figure in the birth of Jesus sees no angels. The best he got was a dream about an angel speaking to him. In my economy, a real angel outweighs a dream about an angel every day of the week.
Was it just illusion? Was it wishful thinking wanting Mary’s explanation for her pregnancy to be true? Do you hear his pain, his confusion, his grief at what could have been? Can you watch with him as he tries to make sense of this unbearable situation?
And yet, he believed and obeyed. He took Mary as his wife. He raised the little boy that wasn’t his. He probably faced criticism, rejection, maybe even mocking over the years because of these decisions of faith and obedience. Tradition tells us that Joseph died before Jesus began his public ministry. Joseph never knew for sure that the beliefs on which he staked his life were true but he lived consistently in simple faith and obedience.
For many of you Joseph’s story is your story. You have staked your lives on one dream God gave or a quiet word deep in your spirit. There have been no glory stories of visions, or angels or prophetic words from famous people. You like Joseph have lived a life of quiet faith and obedience. In Watching Your Life the Angels Rejoice!
Prayer: Help me Lord to be steadfast in doing those things you have shown me to do – and not to fear the thoughts or words of others, but to trust your Word and the encouragement of your inner voice. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your love that never ends
Restores me again
So I lift my eyes to You Lord
In Your strength will I break through Lord
Touch me now let Your love fall down on me
I know Your love dispels all my fears
Through the storm I will hold on Lord
And by faith I will walk on Lord
Then I'll see beyond my Calvary one day
And I will be complete in You
I look to You Lord
Your love that never ends
Restores me again
So I lift my eyes to You Lord
In Your strength will I break through Lord
Touch me now let Your love fall down on me
I know Your love dispels all my fears
Through the storm I will hold on Lord
And by faith I will walk on Lord
Then I'll see beyond my Calvary one day
And I will be complete
I will be complete
I will be complete in You

Come
‘Come, follow me’, Jesus said, ‘and I will make you fishers of men.’Matthew 4:19, NIV
The words of Jesus, to Simon Peter and his brother Andrew, were an invitation to leave what they were legitimately doing and follow Him.
As was their custom, they were going about their ordinary, every day business as fishermen, when they heard Jesus call them. He was inviting them to come and be with Him, so that He could teach them things about God and Himself, things they may never have considered.
As it was with these two men, the call of Jesus may also come to us in unexpected situations. It may be in a quiet time as we are reading a passage of Scripture, or, like Peter and Andrew, as we are going about our daily business. It could be as we are serving Him in a regular routine duty, or as we are walking along the street with our mind on other things. It often happens that when we’re not specifically thinking about how God might call us and use us in some future service that He drops a thought into our mind, a thought we can’t avoid.
For Simon Peter and Andrew it was firstly an invitation to come and listen to the teaching of Jesus and learn the message of the Kingdom. After they had responded to this call they realised they were meant to observe the way Jesus did things and learn from Him. At a later stage, they would be able to take the teaching and ministry of Jesus to others.
Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, please enable me to hear and listen attentively when you call me. As I follow you, help me to learn those things of the Kingdom that will equip me to be a true and effective disciple. Amen.

Hosanna
I see the King of glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes
I see his love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing, the people sing
Chorus
Hosanna, Hosanna
Hosanna in the Highest
Verse 2
I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, we're on our knees
Bridge
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

-December 29 Streams in the Desert
There are active people, who go straight to the battle, and struggle till the setting of the sun. There are passive people, who stand in the middle and simply report the progress of the fight. Yet there are also neuter people - those who can neither fight nor be spectators of the fight but must simply lie down and wait.
Remember, it is Christ himself who says to you, "Sit here." Your place in the garden has also been set apart.
-December 26 Streams in the Desert
Many of your loved ones have been bound by Satan and imprisoned by him for years, and they are simply waiting for the gates to be opened. They will be set free in Christ when you pray fervently and persistently in faith to God.
Emergencies call for intense prayer. When the person himself becomes the prayer nothing can resist its touch. Elijah bowed to the ground on Mount Carmel with his face between his knees, and he became the prayer.
Spoken prayer is not always needed, for prayer can often be too intense for words.
